Why are wilderness users expected to fill out registration cards at every trailhead and have them ready to present on demand to patrolling forest service staff? I asked Tracy Beck, Forest Supervisor on the Willamette National Forest and received a detailed reply.

Received a response that responded directly to each question posed.  However, no historical data or previous report compiled from this data was provided in response to our request.

It would be very interesting to have the opportunity to review reports or data compiled from this registration process.
