Camera crews from Oregon Public Broadcasting (OPB) have used drones to film presentations in wilderness areas and on wild rivers.  

Recently I asked the Director of the Prineville BLM to notify OPB that the use of drones on certain sections of the John Day river was not allowed.

I contacted Dennis Teitzel, Vale BLM District Manager on October 25, 2017.  A response was promised by early December.  At this point, I am still waiting.
